"My brother may have been pushed" – Sister of final year UNN Law student who d!ed after falling from building alleges foul play

Cynthia Onyeabo, the sister of a 500-level Law student of the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus (UNEC) who fell to his d3ath has alleged that her brother may have been m8rdered. 
 
 
It was gathered that the deceased, Onyeabo Donald Chimezie, 22, sustained severe injuries after he fell from an unfinished building and landed on exposed iron rods. 
 
 
The tragic incident occurred near the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) on April 13, 2026.
 
 
Cynthia confirmed the latest development in a painful Facebook post on Tuesday, August 4.
 
 
She revealed that Donald passed away on June 29, after battling for his life in the hospital. 
 
 
According to the grieving sister, she had initially held on to the belief that it was an accident and never entertained the possibility of m8rder. 
 
 
However, she now has a reason to believe that someone may have pushed or thrown him from the building. 
 
Cynthia described her brother as a reserved person who lived a relatively quiet life, adding that she won’t stop seeking for justice and answers. 
 
“I told myself that no matter how long it took, I would eventually write something about my brother publicly. No matter how long the pain lasted, I would find a way to manage it, fight through it, and truly talk about my brother,” she wrote.
 
“I choose to vent here because I believe that, somehow, I may find strength in doing so. Everyone who knows me knows that I am not a public person, but this is something I must put out there.
 
“I have been in denial for the past few weeks. Perhaps, in some ways, I still am.
 
“I lost my brother on the 29th of June this year. He would have turned 22 the very next day. He would also have graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
 
“He was not sick. He had, however, been fighting for his life since April.
 
“On the 13th of April 2026, I received a call that my brother had fallen from a high building and that a metal rod had pierced his head and leg. 
 
“The sight that met me when I got to UNTH the following day was something I still struggle to comprehend. I tried to hold on to my faith and remain strong for him and for his surviving twin… even as I was gradually falling apart inside.
 
“What hurts the most, and what I may never forgive myself for, is that I desperately held on to the belief that it was an accident. 
 
“In a strange way, I was even comforted by that thought. I did not want to entertain the possibility that it could have been otherwise.
 
“But now, I have reason to believe that my brother may have been pushed or thrown.
 
“My brother went to school to study. He had spent nearly five years of his life in that institution. He was attacked.
 
“Of course, people will believe whatever they choose to believe, but he was my brother, and I knew him. He was a reserved person, and many of his classmates and other students knew him as a loner. He kept to himself. He lived a relatively quiet life.
 
“I have attached his picture to this post. Let the innocent see it and understand the depth of my suffering. And if the guilty ever come across this picture, I pray that it weighs heavily on their conscience.
 
“I pray that, before long, the truth is revealed and those responsible are brought to account. I will not stop praying for justice. I will not stop praying that the truth comes to light, no matter how long it takes.
