Police arrest suspected female gunrunner in Delta

Operatives of the Special Anti-K!dnapping Unit, Delta State, have arrested a 28-year-old suspected female gunrunner, Happiness Clifford.

The suspect was arrested in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the state with 10 live cartridges concealed in a bucket.

Confirming her arrest to newsmen, the command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement released.

“Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU), Ubulu-Uku, arrested one Happiness Clifford, female, aged 28 years, in connection with suspected gun-running activities in Agbor, Ika South LGA.

A search of the suspected hideout led to the recovery of 10 live cartridges concealed in a bucket.

During preliminary investigation, the suspect identified her husband, one Clifford Okoro, as a major supplier of the ammunition.

Investigation is ongoing, while efforts have been intensified to apprehend him,” Edafe said
