Trending video of Catholic priest destroying shrine with his bare hands

A video of a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Okunerere, dismantling a traditional shrine with his bare hands has sparked widespread reactions on social media.

The footage, which has been circulating on various platforms, captures the priest, who is the Spiritual Director of the Okunerere Adoration Ministry in Nsukka, Enugu State, physically pulling down the structure of a traditional shrine, using no tools, in what he described as the “physical act of breaking evil altars and shrines”.

The video has generated a wave of mixed reactions online. While some social media users have expressed shock and outrage at the footage, others defended the priest’s actions, arguing that he acted like a true Christian.
