Nigeria Set for Historic Debut of Wheelchair American Football in Lagos

The American Football for Educational Development has announced that its inaugural Wheelchair American Football exhibition would promote inclusion and leadership.
The organisation noted that the upcoming exhibition, scheduled for September 10 in Lagos, would introduce the sport to Nigeria for the first time.
The Media Coordinator for the organisation disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday in Lagos, indicating that the event would commence at 10:00 a.m. at the Outdoor Basketball Arena of the National Institute for Sports, National Stadium, Lagos.
According to the media officer, the exhibition aims to introduce an innovative adaptive sport that would simultaneously promote equal opportunity and community participation for persons with disabilities.
Government agencies, diplomatic missions, corporate organisations, educational institutions, disability organisations, development partners, and members of the media have been invited to witness the historic occasion.
