Two Farmers Abducted in Ondo as Suspects Demand ₦100m Ransom

Two farmers have been abducted by suspected k!dnappers in Parubber community within the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo State.
The victims were reportedly seized while working on their farms before being forcefully taken into surrounding bush terrain.
According to one farmer who escaped the attack, the assailants invaded the farm armed with rifles and cutlasses.
The escaped farmer, who operates a piggery business, disclosed that the k!dnappers have since established contact with one victim’s wife, demanding ₦100 million ransom for their release.
He explained that the incident has been reported to police and local security operatives, noting that the abductors continue contacting the affected family member inquiring about ransom collection progress.
He appealed to security agencies and government authorities to assist in rescuing the victims unharmed.
Responding to the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command confirmed that a joint security team comprising the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, local hunters, and vigilante groups had been mobilised to the scene to conduct a coordinated search-and-rescue operation.
