Woman joins her husband in jail after he physically abused their 3-month-old baby under guise of

A mother has joined her husband in jail after he allegedly abused their infant daughter and she didn’t seek medical attention for the baby or report the abuse.

Carleena Webb, 33, is charged with one count of criminal abuse.

LIB reported that Shaun Webb, 36, was arrested on Friday, August 21, 2026 in Boone County, Kentucky, U.S, on 10 counts of criminal abuse.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said an out-of-state family member provided investigators with nanny-cam video obtained from Carleena, who is the baby’s mother.

Deputies said Shaun was also recorded holding his daughter by the back of her head while covering her face for approximately 19 seconds as her legs flailed. Other recordings allegedly show him repeatedly covering the baby’s face with his hand for several seconds.

Shaun could be heard yelling “stop crying” and “you’re going to learn,” according to the complaint.

Shaun told investigators children are “like a dog, you have to train them and set boundaries,” according to the complaint.

Investigators said Shaun admitted covering the baby’s mouth and nose “not to cause harm, but to deprive her of oxygen,” describing it as an “action to train the behavior.”

While deputies previously said Carleena provided the family member with the video that led to Shaun’s arrest, she failed to report the abuse and failed to seek medical treatment for her baby. She also came home from work to confront Shaun but then reportedly went back to work, leaving her children in Shaun’s care.

Shaun is locked up on a $500,000 bond.

Bond has not been set yet for Carleen.
