Yadira Guillermo García attracted national attention after reportedly taking drastic action when a criminal group kidnapped her husband.

According to reports, García abducted the mother of the group’s alleged leader.

She then recorded a message demanding the safe return of her husband in exchange for releasing the woman.

Her actions reportedly forced both sides to begin direct negotiations.

Authorities later confirmed that García’s husband and the other woman were released without injuries.
