Jesus Deliverance Ministry Celebrates 38th Youth Week, Declares ‘Satan Lost the Battle’

BENIN CITY — Jesus Deliverance Ministry, popularly known as Sis Ngozi Peters Church, is set to celebrate its 38th annual Youth Week with a series of spiritual and humanitarian activities aimed at strengthening the faith of young people and reaching out to the less privileged.
The week-long celebration, scheduled for August 23 to 30, 2026, is themed “Satan Lost the Battle,” with Isaiah 40:31 as the anchor scripture: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
The organisers described the celebration as an opportunity for youths and other worshippers to renew their faith, draw closer to God and celebrate what they described as victory through Jesus Christ.
The programme will commence on Sunday, August 23, with a Global Youth Fasting and Prayer Day, during which participants are expected to seek God’s direction, strength and spiritual renewal.
A major humanitarian component of the celebration will take place on Saturday, August 29, with the ministry organising feeding of the poor and community outreach, alongside a special music and trumpet programme.
The Saturday activities are scheduled to commence at 9 a.m.
The grand finale of the 38th Youth Week celebration will hold on Sunday, August 30, beginning at 8 a.m., with worshippers expected to gather for a special thanksgiving and celebration service.
The ministry, which described its place of worship as “Mount Zion, the City of Praise,” has invited members of the public, particularly youths and lovers of peace, to participate in the celebration.
The host of the programme is the Most Rev. Sis Ngozi Peters, while Rev. Dr. Awele Peters serves as co-host. Jesus Christ is acknowledged as the Chief Host.
In a message ahead of the celebration, Sis Ngozi Peters called on worshippers and members of the public to join the ministry in celebrating God’s faithfulness and victory.
She declared: “Jesus is the winner. Shame upon you Satan, enemy of the gospel of Christ; you lost the battle! We are flying higher on Angels’ wings”.
The celebration is expected to combine spiritual activities with music, prayer, fellowship and humanitarian outreach, reinforcing the ministry’s emphasis on faith, hope, service and community engagement.
The organisers said participants would be encouraged throughout the week to trust in God, renew their strength and remain steadfast in their Christian faith.
The 38th Youth Week celebration is expected to attract youths, church members, families and other worshippers to the ministry’s “City of Praise” for a week of worship, thanksgiving and service to humanity.
