Gov Otu’s leadership inspires hope in C’River — LG chair

The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Peter Undiandeye has congratulated Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, on the third anniversary of his administration and his emergence as the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, Undiandeye described Otu as ‘a quintessential leader and champion of good governance’.

He commended his people-oriented style of leadership and developmental strides across the state.

He said, “Our Amiable Governor Bassey Otu is a quintessential leader and champion of good governance and I applaud his people-oriented style of leadership and developmental strides across the state.”

Undiandeye noted that within the past three years, Otu’s administration has inspired hope, unity, peace and sustainable development in Cross River state through impactful governance and strategic infrastructural renewal.

According to him, the administration has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people through investments in road infrastructure, human capital development, security, and grassroots empowerment initiatives.

“Within the past three years, Governor Otu’s administration has inspired hope, unity, peace, and sustainable development and has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people through investments in road infrastructure, human capital development, security, and grassroots empowerment initiatives”, he added.

The Council Chairman further stated that Otu’s emergence as the APC gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections reflects the overwhelming confidence and trust the party stakeholders and the people of the state repose in his visionary leadership and sterling performance.

“Your emergence once again as the party’s flag bearer is a clear testament to the confidence and trust the people and stakeholders of our great party repose in your visionary leadership and sterling performance,” he stated.

Undiandeye also praised the governor’s “People First” philosophy, describing it as a governance approach that has continued to transform lives and communities across Cross River State.

He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health for Governor Otu as he continues to pilot the affairs of the state toward greater heights.

He reaffirmed the support and solidarity of the people of Obudu Local Government Area with the Governor’s administration and wished him continued success in his leadership journey.

“As a Local Government Chairman who has closely observed the Governor’s passion for grassroots development and inclusive governance, I am proud to identify with the administration’s developmental vision and commitment to the wellbeing of ordinary citizens,” he added.

Otu emerged as the APC governorship candidate for the 2027 election after party stakeholders endorsed him for a second term, citing his administration’s developmental projects and governance style.
