White House releases Trump's medical report which finds president 'fully fit' for duty

Trump’s physician published a version of the president’s latest medical report late on Friday, 30 May, describing the 79-year-old as being in “excellent health” and “fully fit.”
The report by Dr Sean Barbabella came after Trump’s fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation on Tuesday, May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since returning to office. He is set to turn 80 next month.
“President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” Barbabella wrote in a summary of the report.
“His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being.”
“Cognitive and physical performance are excellent,” Barbabella added.
“He is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
Presidents typically make one visit to Walter Reed per year, yet Trump made two trips in 2025, one of which he initially claimed was for an MRI but was subsequently revealed to be a CT scan.
The debate surrounding Trump’s health has centred on several concerns, notably the recurring bruising on the back of his hands, which the White House previously attributed to extensive hand-shaking.
The memo described the bruising on Trump’s hands as “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention”.
Trump also achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30 in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment – a test widely used to identify memory problems or cognitive impairment.
