Gov Abdulrazaq sacks Deputy Chief of Staff, others in cabinet shake up

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has sacked his Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary in a cabinet shake up.
The cabinet shake up also affected all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
The move, according to a statement by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Abdulrafiu, in Ilorin on Monday, is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration.
“His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state.
“He wishes them the best in their future endeavours,” the statement added.
The Governor further directed all the affected appointees to hand over all government properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
