Iran threatens to launch missiles and block Hormuz Strait as Switzerland meeting cancelled

Iran has threatened to restart missile attacks and block the Strait of Hormuz as it pulled out of a peace meeting in Switzerland with the US.

According to local Iranian media, the country has threatened to cancel all upcoming negotiations, despite signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) just yesterday.

Iran warns it will re-block the Strait and respond with missiles over what it calls the direct violation of the US-Iran MOU’s first clause, reports say.

The move comes as Israel continues its military foothold in southern Lebanon, despite a commitment from the first clause to end the war.

It comes less than 24 hours after the MOU was electronically signed.
