Oyebanji’s re-election reflects quality leadership, performance — Uzodimma

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has congratulated the people of Ekiti State over the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the just-concluded governorship election in the state.
PidomNigeria Online reports that Oyebanji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, was re-elected after polling 319,224 votes, defeating his closest rivals from the Peoples Democratic Party, Olumayokun Oluyede, and the African Democratic Congress, Dare Bejide, across the state’s 16 local government areas.
Following the announcement of the results, APC supporters and residents took to the streets of Ado Ekiti to celebrate the outcome.
Speaking with journalists at the Ekiti State Government House on Sunday, shortly after the declaration of results, Uzodimma said Oyebanji’s victory reflected the quality of leadership and performance of his administration.
“As a party, we are delighted. We congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji on this remarkable victory and on the excellent performance he has delivered in Ekiti State. We also congratulate the national leader of our great party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the leadership of the APC at all levels,” he said.
He added that the turnout of supporters and the overwhelming backing for the governor demonstrated public confidence in his leadership.
“The massive turnout of our supporters in Ekiti State and their overwhelming support for our governor is a clear demonstration of confidence in his leadership and performance,” he said.
Uzodimma further described the outcome as evidence that good governance produces electoral rewards.
“We are happy as a party. We are happy as progressive governors. We are proud that one of our own has demonstrated that good governance yields positive results,” he stated.
The Imo State governor also commended President Bola Tinubu for ongoing development initiatives across the country, noting that despite economic challenges, Nigerians were showing patience with the administration.
“We commend the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, whose policies are increasingly being appreciated across the country. Our democracy is growing steadily. Achievements are being recorded, the economy is becoming stronger, and our politics is becoming more sustainable. For all these, we give glory to Almighty God,” he said.
He also praised Nigerians for their resilience, expressing optimism that continued cooperation would strengthen national development under the APC-led government.
