State Police: Delay made us lose many lives – Kaduna Gov, Sani
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State says delay in the establishment of state police has led to lost of many lives in the country.
Sani made this statement on Wednesday when he featured in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
The governor was speaking on the passage of the bill to establish state police by the Senate
“Any day we delay State Police, we continue to lose lives. I can’t remember any true federalist country without both State and Federal Police forces.
“There are a lot of safeguards prevent Governors from abusing it against political opponents.
“I’m happy to say that the bill for the alteration of the constitution for the establishment of state police in Nigeria was passed Today, and of course, I have no doubt in my mind that this is something that will be welcomed by every Nigerian,” he said.
