Tony Elumelu Named Seplat Energy Chairman in Major Leadership Transition

Seplat Energy has announced the appointment of billionaire investor and business leader Tony Elumelu as its next Chairman, with effect from January 2027.
In a statement, Elumelu expressed honour at succeeding Senator Udoma in the role and reaffirmed his belief in the critical role indigenous resources play in the economic transformation of Nigeria and Africa.
He noted that Seplat’s culture of execution and governance aligns strongly with his personal values.
He extended gratitude to Senator Udoma and Roger for their stewardship of the company, while expressing confidence in delivering further value for shareholders as the energy firm enters its next phase of growth.
