Abia State African Action Congress, AAC, governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Doris Ogala, has declared herself as the next governor of the state.

Ogala, a Nollywood actress, made the declaration during a live session on TikTok, which circulated widely on Sunday and drew reactions from supporters and critics alike.

According to the female governorship candidate, her emergence as governor was already settled and beyond doubt.

She said, “I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have a choice. Doris will be your governor, you don’t have a choice. God has said it, so shall it be. It is very simple, why don’t you get that?”

This has generated discussions across different social media platforms, with many users sharing varying opinions on her confidence ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.

Ogaga secured the AAC governorship ticket during the primaries and announced her readiness to challenge the current administration in Abia State.

After her emergence as the party’s candidate, she vowed to focus on the welfare of residents if elected, pledging to create employment opportunities, encourage investment and implement policies aimed at improving economic activities across the state.
