Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Patron of the City Boy Movement (CBM), has called on members of the group to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Tinubu urged the movement to target the mobilisation of at least 10 million youth votes for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He made the remarks on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the opening dinner of the City Boy Movement’s National Retreat held at the State House, Abuja.

According to Tinubu, the CBM has evolved beyond its original role as a campaign platform and is now focused on nation-building and broader citizen engagement.

The Patron’s message was conveyed in a statement issued by the movement’s Deputy Director-General of Media, Communications and Public Affairs, Otega Ogra.

“This is more than just the opening of a retreat.

“It is the beginning of a movement. It is the coming together of men and women who have chosen to dedicate their time, energy and talents to the service of Nigeria and the advancement of the Renewed Hope vision,” Tinubu was quoted as saying.

He commended members who travelled from across the country for the retreat, praising their commitment and sacrifice.

“You have travelled from every corner of our great nation not because you were compelled to, but because you believe in a cause that is greater than yourselves. That spirit of sacrifice is what defines leadership,” he said.
