Trump signals possible strike on Iran’s Pickaxe mountain nuclear facility

United States President Donald Trump has indicated that his administration is considering a military strike on Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility, suggesting the site could be targeted in the near future.

Trump made the statement while speaking during an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

He stated that the United States has been closely monitoring activities at the facility, which was not among the Iranian nuclear sites struck by U.S. forces last year.

“Pickaxe is a possible target for a nice big fat shot right near the front door,” Trump said.

The president claimed intelligence assessments showed little activity at the site, adding that Iran’s nuclear programme was facing significant setbacks.

“We see no activity there. They’re not doing well with their nuclear situation. We’ll probably give Pickaxe a shot relatively soon,” he stated.

Trump’s remarks come amid reports suggesting Iran may be attempting to restore parts of its nuclear infrastructure.

Recent satellite imagery has reportedly shown increased vehicle movement around the Pickaxe Mountain facility, including trucks entering and leaving the site, fuelling speculation over renewed activity.
