Uba Sani reconstitutes KASU Governing Council, appoints three new aides

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has reconstituted the Governing Council of Kaduna State University, KASU, and appointed three new aides as part of efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery across the state.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, who said the move was aimed at injecting fresh energy into public service and advancing the administration’s development agenda.
According to the statement, Hon. Audu Maikori was appointed Chief Strategic Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs, while Umar Uba Maicitta was named Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations. Aminu Mohammed Gusau was also appointed Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.
As part of the reconstitution of the KASU Governing Council, the governor appointed Dr Ibrahim Umar as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.
Other members of the council are Dr Ibrahim Hamidu, representing Zone One; Mallam Adamu Aliyu Shika, representing Zone Two; Mrs Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex, representing Zone Three; and Alhaji Adamu Attah, representing the organised private sector.
Gov. Sani also approved the constitution of the Board of the Kaduna Mining Development Company, appointing Alhaji Lawal Umar Meyere as chairman. Other members are Hon. Addau Ahmed, Hon. Kabiru Tsoho Yakawada and Yohana Allah Magani Christopher, representing Zones One, Two and Three, respectively.
For the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, Mr Tanko Kokwain was appointed board chairman, with Thomas Samuel Amale, Esther Ayuba Anthony and Mustapha Ahmed representing Zones One, Two and Three, respectively.
The governor also constituted the four-member Board of the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency, appointing David Umar Gurara as chairman. Bello Nuhu Yakubu, Hon. Hassan Adamu Shekarau and Mrs Hannatu Sambo were named members representing Zones One, Two andThree, respectively.
In a similar vein, Yakubu El Saad Lere was appointed Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Board, while Zubairu Balarabe Saminu, Binta Saidu and Habila Abel Adamu were appointed members.
Musa said the appointments reflected the governor’s commitment to strengthening public institutions through competent leadership.
He quoted Gov. Sani as describing the appointees as seasoned professionals and resourceful leaders selected on the basis of their proven competence, track record and commitment to the socio-economic development of Kaduna State.
The governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to regard their appointments as a call to service by carrying out their responsibilities with diligence, transparency and integrity to accelerate the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of the state.
