Fulham sign Spanish striker Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid

Fulham have completed the signing of striker Gonzalo García from Real Madrid in a deal worth €40 million (£34m).
The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract until 2031, with an option to extend by a further year.
García, who came through Real Madrid’s academy after joining the club at the age of 10, scored 13 goals in 51 appearances for Real in all competitions and won the Champions League and LaLiga in 2024.
He now reunites with former Madrid youth coach Álvaro Arbeloa, who took charge of Fulham this summer.
Speaking to the club website, García said:“I’m very grateful, very happy to be here. I have to thank the board and [Álvaro] Arbeloa for the trust they’ve put in me, and I’m very, very excited to start.
Fulham signed García after losing two of their top attackers this summer, following the expirations of their contracts – with last season’s top scorer Harry Wilson joining Leeds and Mexican no.9 Raúl Jiménez re-signing for Wolves in the Championship.
