Gov. Oyebanji proceeds on two-week annual leave

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State will commence a two-week annual leave on Monday, 24 August 2026.
The Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Olayinka Oyebode, confirmed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday.
He said the two-week leave is part of the Governor’s statutory annual leave entitlement.
“While on leave, Governor Oyebanji will, however, continue to attend to crucial matters relating to governance and administration of the State.
“The Governor will resume office on Monday, 7 September 2026,” the statement reads.
It further revealed that, “his is the second time Governor Oyebanji will be proceeding on leave since assuming office on October 16, 2022.”
