Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo is reportedly close to joining Libyan champions Al-Swehly after leaving Spanish club Real Oviedo.
The 28-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Real Oviedo expired. He has reportedly travelled to Cairo to complete a medical and hold final talks with Al-Swehly.
However, the financial details of the proposed move have raised questions.
Some reports claim Sibo has been offered a package worth about $10 million. The reports do not agree on whether the contract will last two or three years. No official announcement confirming the amount has been released by the player or Al-Swehly.
Sibo had reportedly attracted interest from clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, England and Egypt. A possible move to a Turkish club is believed to have collapsed before Al-Swehly entered the race.
The midfielder could also play in the CAF Champions League if the transfer is completed. Al-Swehly qualified for the competition after winning the Libyan league.
