Man arrested for alleged s3xual @buse of eight-month-old baby

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a man named Balarabe Adamu over the alleged s3xual @buse of his eight-month-old stepdaughter in Toro Local Government Area.
The police said the incident was reported on Wednesday, August 26 at about 5:34 p.m.
According to the report, Adamu, who lives in Lame in Toro Local Government Area, allegedly att@cked the baby after his wife brought her to his home.
The baby was taken to General Hospital Toro immediately after the alleged incident for medical examination and treatment.
Police operatives attached to Gumau Division responded to the report and @rrested the suspect.
He is now in custody while investigations continue.
The State Commissioner of Police condemned the alleged @ct, calling it unacceptable.
He promised a thorough investigation and said the suspect would be prosecuted if the allegation is confirmed.
The commissioner said the case would be investigated completely and the man would be charged to court when investigations finish, following the law.
The commissioner also stressed the police command’s zero-tolerance approach to s3xual violence and child @buse.
He called on parents, guardians and community leaders to watch for signs of child @buse and report suspected cases to the nearest police station immediately.
The police said more updates on the investigation would be released later.
