Niger State Government has not received any message or ransom demand from the t3rrorists who ab@ducted worshippers in Borgu Local Government Area last Friday.

The state’s Information Commissioner, Obed Nuhu said on Thursday that officials are still trying to make contact with the attackers.

The commissioner revealed that the ab@duction happened in three separate locations.

The government suspects the attack was carried out by Lakurawa and Boko Haram groups working together.

Officials have not confirmed the exact number of people ab@ducted.

The commissioner explained that they are still gathering information and will not release figures until they have verified them properly.

Following the attack, the Niger State Governor ordered security agencies to rescue the victims and restore peace in the affected areas.

A joint security operation has been launched to track down the attackers and bring back those who were taken.

The government said it will not share details about the operation because of how sensitive the mission is.

President Bola Tinubu has also stepped in.

He ordered security and intelligence agencies to start an immediate coordinated operation to rescue the ab@ducted worshippers.

The directive was given to the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and other relevant agencies.
