Russian Colonel Killed in Car Blast as Putin Issues Fresh UK Threat

A senior Russian military officer was k!lled in a car bomb att@ck in St Petersburg on Thursday.

The colonel died instantly when his vehicle exploded on a highway.

His wife was critically injured and lost both legs in the blast.

The 53-year-old lieutenant colonel and military pilot was driving out of a car park when the explosion happened.

The blast tore the Chinese-made car apart.

Russian media said an improvised explosive device caused the explosion.

Russian military officials believe Ukraine was behind the att@ck, though no group claimed responsibility.

Multiple Russian military figures have died in car explosions in recent months, many blamed on Ukrainian special services.

The att@ck comes as tensions escalate between Russia and the West over support for Ukraine.

Putin warned Britain on Thursday that Russia could hit UK military targets if Britain does not change its stance on the conflict.

This followed the UK Prime Minister’s recent visit to Kyiv where he shared technology for long-range missiles with Ukraine.
