Tinubu heads to Europe for three-week vacation

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
The President’s first destination will be London, United Kingdom, according to a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” the statement said.
Onanuga said Tinubu would return to Nigeria immediately after the vacation to join the preparations and campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 general election.
“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” he added.
The President’s trip comes as political activities intensify across the country ahead of the 2027 elections, with political parties and aspirants stepping up preparations for the polls.
The Presidency did not disclose details of Tinubu’s itinerary in London or other European destinations he may visit during the vacation.
