A Nigerian lady has sparked mixed reactions online after she reportedly showed up for a date with her boyfriend wearing only a wrapper, following a disagreement over money for a new outfit.
According to a conversation shared online, the lady was heard telling her boyfriend in a voice note that she had washed all her clothes and they were not dry, so she needed money to buy something new to wear for their planned outing.
The boyfriend, however, reportedly told her to borrow clothes from her roommate instead of sending her money. She appeared to agree with his response, but unknown to him, she had already planned a different approach.
When they finally met, the lady arrived wearing a piece of wrapper tied around her body instead of the outfit her boyfriend expected. The unusual appearance reportedly shocked him and led to an argument between them.
In the circulating video, the man was seen expressing anger over the situation before allegedly slapping her and leaving the scene.
The incident has since generated conversations online, with some people criticizing the woman’s decision to embarrass her boyfriend, while others questioned the man’s reaction and condemned the alleged act of violence.
Many have also called for better communication and respect between couples when handling disagreements.
