Suspected cultist dies after slumping while fleeing from police in Ogun


A suspected cultist identified simply as Damola has reportedly died after slumping while allegedly fleeing from police operatives in Ogun State.
The incident reportedly happened in the Kajola area of Ikenne Local Government Area after police received intelligence that a man had allegedly been ambushed by suspected cult members.
Police operatives reportedly stormed the area and arrested one of the suspects, identified as Oluwatimileyin Daniel, while others fled.
Damola was said to have collapsed while attempting to escape from the operatives. He was rushed to a hospital but was later confirmed dead.
The incident reportedly caused tension in the community, prompting security operatives to strengthen their presence in the area.
The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation is currently ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the case.
