Teacher Freezes In Fear Midway Through Canopy Walkway At Kintampo Falls During School Excursion

Published

A lighthearted but relatable moment has gone viral after a teacher accompanying basic school pupils on an educational excursion to the Kintampo Waterfalls became visibly paralysed by fear midway through the crossing of the canopy walkway while the very students he was meant to be leading pressed on ahead of him.

Footage of the incident shows a group of pupils and adults gripping the rope railings of the suspension walkway, which stretches high above a dense forest canopy, with palm trees and thick vegetation visible far below.

The teacher’s visible distress at the height of the walkway mid-crossing has generated widespread amusement online, with many users pointing out the irony of a figure of authority becoming the one in need of reassurance during what was intended to be an enriching outdoor learning experience for the children.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The Kintampo Waterfalls canopy walkway is a popular tourist and educational attraction in the Bono East Region of Ghana.

The teacher had not been publicly identified, and the school involved was not named at the time of publication.
