A 23-year-old woman has been accused of hiring contract killers to murder her widowed mother in Jaipur, India.
According to Jaipur Police, the woman allegedly agreed to pay the killers ₹7 lakh.
Investigators claim the group planned to make the killing look like a road accident.
Police believe the woman wanted to inherit her family’s property after her mother’s death. She also allegedly hoped to secure a government job on compassionate grounds.
Seven people have been arrested in connection with the case.
Police are still investigating the alleged murder plot and the role played by each suspect.
