Mystery as Lauren Boebert’s son turns up in jail release log

Tyler Boebert, the eldest son of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), was released from the Garfield County jail in Colorado on Sunday, according to the county’s inmate roster, though the circumstances remain a mystery.
The 21-year-old appears in the “Recent Releases” section of a jail log on Monday, with a release date listed as the day before. He is not among the 66 people the roster shows as currently in custody. The public record does not state when he was booked or on what charges. Raw Story is working to confirm those details.
The entry revives a familiar storyline for the Boebert family in western Colorado.
Tyler Boebert was arrested in February 2024 in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Rifle, where police accused him and several younger companions of taking credit cards and identification from parked cars. He originally faced 22 counts, including felonies.
That case closed in October 2024, when he pleaded guilty to a single count of attempted identity theft and received a two-year deferred sentence, sparing him a felony record if he completes probation and 80 hours of community service.
In a February 2024 statement, Lauren Boebert said Tyler “will take responsibility for his actions and should be held accountable for poor decisions just like any other citizen.” His father, Jayson Boebert, separately called his son “good-hearted” and pledged unconditional support.
