Okpebholo Appoints Aigbe Security Adviser, Nominates Ayewoh as SUBEB Chairman

BENIN CITY — Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Engr. Kelvin Ovanbor Aigbe as Special Adviser to the Governor on Security.

The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., announced the appointment in a government statement, noting that it takes immediate effect.

According to the statement, Aigbe is an entrepreneur with experience in humanitarian service, community development, politics and grassroots leadership.

The government said his appointment reflects the administration’s continued effort to strengthen public service and deepen engagement with communities across the state.

In a separate announcement, Governor Okpebholo also approved the nomination of Hon. Ayewoh Ambrose Oyakhilome as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.

The state government described Ayewoh as a politician and public administrator with a strong interest in effective leadership and the improvement of education outcomes.

Until his nomination, Ayewoh served as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency, RARA, where he was involved in the implementation of government programmes aimed at improving rural roads and connectivity.

The government said his nomination will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
