Sokoto Community Hit by Fresh Attack Days After Boat Tragedy

T3rrorists have att@cked Gorau community in Sokoto State, k!lling four residents and kidn@pping four others.

The att@ck happened at about 9 pm on Wednesday, just six days after a boat accident in the same community k!lled 65 people.

The attackers opened fire on residents, shooting eleven people total.

Seven survived and were taken to hospital.

Four d!ed immediately.

The village head said the attackers appeared to be targeting families who lost people in the recent boat tragedy.

He alleged they went from house to house searching for one million naira in relief money the state government had given to each bereaved family.

The att@ck left the community in deeper grief as people are still mourning those who d!ed in the boat accident.

Security concerns continue to grow across the local government area.

A member of the national assembly representing the area confirmed the incident and expressed sympathy for the families affected.
