A video circulating online shows a woman lying motionless on the ground outside a restaurant, prompting staff to rush to her aid, in an incident that took a dramatic turn after a bystander accused her of faking the collapse to receive free food.
Footage shows the restaurant’s MD and staff attempting to revive her, first by sprinkling water on her, then lifting her into a plastic chair when that failed to get a response.
As staff began questioning her, a man reportedly confronted her directly, alleging she had staged the collapse. According to the account, she then got up from the chair and physically confronted the man.
The claim that she was faking illness has not been independently verified, and it’s worth noting that sudden collapses can also stem from genuine medical issues, including low blood sugar, dehydration, heat exhaustion, or underlying health conditions, none of which would be immediately obvious to onlookers.
Her sudden recovery and subsequent confrontation with her accuser has fuelled the “staged” narrative online, though the full context of what actually happened before the video began remains unclear.
