Ondo Governor Rewards 7 NYSC Members With Automatic Jobs

Seven National Youths Service Corps members who served the country in the state have been granted automatic employment by Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State.

The governor honored teachers, students, and recipients of national awards for their great achievements.

Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor’s chief press secretary, made this announcement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the governor announced the employment opportunity during the presentation of awards to outstanding education achievers at the Cocoa Conference Centre of the governor’s office in Akure.

At the event, the governor also presented N1 million each to all 66 award recipients as a mark of honour and appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

Aiyedatiwa said the gesture formed part of his administration’s commitment to promoting excellence and retaining exceptional talents in Ondo State, stressing that sustained investment in human capital development remained the foundation of the state’s long-term growth.

He described the event as a celebration of excellence and a reminder that the quality of a society’s human capital remains its greatest asset, noting that the awardees had brought honour to the state through their academic achievements, innovation, discipline and commitment to excellence.

He added that they had become worthy ambassadors of the Sunshine State and shining examples for generations yet unborn.

Paying tribute to teachers, the governor described them as the architects of human capital and the silent heroes behind every success story being celebrated, stressing that countries are not built by chance but shaped in classrooms by committed teachers who mould character, impart knowledge and inspire dreams.

He added that while history may remember the achievers, posterity will always honour those who nurtured them for greatness.

Earlier, the state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, said the recognition was designed to encourage excellence and inspire students and teachers across the state.

He noted that education remained a major priority of the Aiyedatiwa administration, disclosing that the governor had directed the compilation of names of students and citizens who had also distinguished themselves academically for recognition.
