Don’t settle for less – Woman shares how God ‘blessed’ her with a virgin husband

A woman has revealed that she married a virgin man though people told her she would struggle to find a decent man because she was not a virgin. 

Confidence Maye Utomi shared her story on Facebook and it has gone viral. 
She wrote:

 “My husband was the virgin, I wasn’t. 
“As a young girl who lost my virginity 7 years before my wedding day, 
“I totally never believed I would, in turn, marry a virgin. 
“Even though I had made the mistake of losing my virginity already, I would always hear people say, 
“You can never marry a virgin man as long as you are not a virgin yourself. 
“Virgin men go for virgin women. 
“Those words used to scare me the h£lL out of me. 
“Not like I care if my husband would be a virgin or not, i was scared if I would find any who would take me just as I am already. 
“The day I lost my virginity, I cried because I felt I had ruined my future. 
“I believed I had reduced my chances of getting a good husband. 
“I thought every decent man would reject me because of one mistake. 
“So when I met and started talking to my husband to be, I didn’t hesitate to let him know I was no longer a virgin. 
“I didn’t want him to hear it from someone else and I also didn’t want to build a relationship on secrets. 
“One evening as we were talking, I told him I needed to tell him something important. 
“He gave me his full attention, and I broke the news to him. 
“He asked me how it happened, and I narrated everything to him. 
“He didn’t blame me neither did he condemned me for anything that happened, 
“He just accepted me for who I was. 
“I wasn’t really even surprised because where there’s genuine love, grace speaks louder than condemnation. 
“My past did not stop him from seeing my present. 
“My mistake did not stop him from seeing the woman I was becoming. 
“Yes, my husband was a virgin but I wasn’t. 
“This is why I want to encourage every young girl reading this. 
“Please stop killing yourself because you lost your virginity. 
“Stop believing that one mistake has automatically disqualified you from having a good marriage. 
“Stop allowing the voices of people to become louder than the voice of God. 
“Yes, you may have made a mistake. 
“But you are not your mistake. 
“Your value did not disappear because your virginity did. 
“Open your heart and your mind to the possibility that God can still write a beautiful story with your life. 
“If God could bless me, a lady who wasn’t a virgin with a virgin man as a husband, then He is more than able to give you the very best according to His will. 
“Don’t settle for less because you think you have nothing left to offer. 
“Don’t enter toxic relationships because you feel nobody else will accept you. 
“Don’t marry out of fear or anxiety. 
“God has a way of making people realize that His grace is greater than our mistakes. 
“No matter how rough your past may be, 
“You can marry God’s best child.”
